Kelly Reemtsen is a world-renowned artist with a substantial and diverse body of work built over the course of her career.

As her portfolio expanded, Kelly identified an opportunity to bring her collections together into a single anthology, one that would not only showcase her work, but clearly articulate her artistic ethos and personal perspective.

This required more than a traditional design-led approach; it demanded a trusted partner capable of understanding, distilling, and expressing the deeper narrative behind her life’s work.

We began with an immersive familiarisation phase, working closely with Kelly through regular conversations over several months to build a deep understanding of her philosophy, practice, and creative intent.

From this foundation, we developed a complete narrative and visual platform that captured her individual proposition as an artist while respecting the distinctiveness of each collection.

This included the creation of a bespoke wordmark, custom typography, and an editorial framework designed to bring coherence and clarity to the anthology.

We also played a central role in shaping the written content of the book. Drawing on the depth of our relationship with Kelly, the narrative was structured as a considered interview between Kelly and our Founder, creating an engaging, reflective, and authentic dialogue that brought her voice and thinking to the forefront.

The anthology launched at De Buck Gallery in New York City and sold out within one month of publication.

It has since received international recognition, winning Outstanding Book of the Year at the Independent Publisher Book Awards.

The project successfully positioned Kelly’s body of work within a single, authoritative narrative, cementing her legacy while creating a lasting platform that reflects the depth, clarity, and impact of her artistic vision.
